Services
Our laboratory, IDMEL, offers various services in the area of pathogen banking, Phenotyping and genotyping. This service is conducted primarily on a collaborative basis. Minimal fee to recover costs incurred in processing specimens is charged.
Currently, our main collaborators and partners include the OSU- Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), The Wilds, and North Carolina State University (NCSU). The most common test services offered include:
- Bacterial isolation (Salmonella and Campylobacter)
- Phenotyping (serogrouping and antimicrobial susceptibility testing).
- DNA fingerprinting (PFGE,AFLP and MLST)
- Molecular Detection (PCR)
- Pathogen banking
