Our mission is the education of graduate, professional, and post-professional students in effective disease control, prevention strategies, and methods to meet current and future societal needs for veterinary medicine and public health. Our research program is forging a path leading to the development of methods to prevent disease, maximize productivity, and promote health in both human and animal populations.

We strive to provide professional expertise for the transfer and application of new research knowledge into the professional and public sectors in diverse areas of animal and human population medicine. This professional service is given to assist the decision-making processes of animal and human health professionals and commercial organizations, as well as local, state, national and international organizations.
