Each year the College admits 140 new veterinary students. Of the students admitted, 100 seats will be offered to students who are residents of the state of Ohio. There are 40 seats initially reserved for "at-large" candidates.
Because the number of applicants exceeds the number of spaces available in each class, the College utilizes selective admission procedures. Applicants are evaluated on academic profiles and certain other non-cognitive factors including motivation and commitment to the profession, character, communication and interpersonal skills, leadership ability, animal exposure, and knowledge of the profession.
To learn more about the College and its program, we strongly encourage students to attend our Open House held in April each year. Click here for detailed information about the Open House. At the Open House, there will be student panels, admissions presentations, small animal surgery, exotic pets, teddy bear repair clinic, children's activity room, many exhibits and hospital tours. The Open House is a great opportunity to learn more about the College. This event is open to all ages.
